Terms of Service

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using BotHound (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

BotHound is a platform for building, scheduling, and running multi-step bots that use tools to take action. The Service includes bot creation, task orchestration, tool execution, scheduled runs, and execution history, as described on our website.

3. Account registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use BotHound to generate or distribute illegal content, to harass or harm others, to perform denial-of-service attacks, to scrape services in violation of their terms, or for any activity that violates applicable laws. You are responsible for the content your bots generate and the actions they take on your behalf. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy.

5. Credits and billing

BotHound operates on a credit system. 1 credit equals 1 cent (USD). Each active task in a bot costs 50 credits per run, so a bot's per-run cost is its number of active tasks multiplied by 50 credits. Credits are purchased through Stripe and do not expire. Every new account receives 1,000 free credits on signup. We do not offer refunds on purchased credits except where required by law.

If your balance is insufficient to cover a scheduled run, that run is skipped and the associated schedule is paused until you top up.

6. Third-party services

BotHound depends on third-party language model providers and tool integrations to execute bot runs. Availability, quality, and pricing of those third-party services may change. We may change, add, or remove underlying models and integrations at our discretion.

7. Service availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions.

8. Data ownership

You retain ownership of all bot configurations, prompts, and outputs you create through the Service. We retain ownership of the Service, its software, and any aggregated or anonymized data derived from service usage.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BotHound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service or actions taken by your bots.

You are solely responsible for the actions your bots take, including any messages sent, data modified, or external services called on your behalf. BotHound is not liable for outcomes, damages, or third-party claims arising from bot actions you configured or scheduled, including errors, hallucinations, or unintended side effects.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

11. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
